Where to start, the rooms, restaurant and the hotel throughout is spotless. We were able to stay in one of the King size rooms (Room 4) and the cleanliness and comfort of the bed was superb.

Next the food. Simply all I can say is wow. Everything we had over the weekend had great flavours all made to order with generous portions from the menu and knowing it was all local produce ticks a huge box.

The bar itself was stocked well and all staff had great product knowledge which brings me on to the staff.

The team that run the hotel on an operational basis were beyond friendly and courteous. No issue or question was too much for them. The Duty Manager is very much an asset to the hotel.

A great place as a base that allows you to travel further around Loch Lomond and surrounding areas but also close to city life in Stirling if desired, but being honest when you find a place like this why would you want to go anywhere else??

A must for all to visit. Be it to stay over or a meal when travelling through. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Black Bull Gartmore.

We had a... read more lively meal in the restaurant earlier in the evening. The rooms were all immaculate and very cosy. The staff were all very friendly and we had a very tasty breakfast on New Year's day. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this lovely pub.

Rooms are big, bed super... read more comfortable (slept like a baby). Staff super friendly. You have to eat in the pub to really get the vibe. Only locals eat here and they are friendly. Food is good, a little pricey but drinks are cheap and good so that helps. Only negative was the heat didn't work great in the room but if you like a cooler room for sleeping, you are OK. Shower was hot and towel warmer worked well. Breakfast was made to order with a smile. Kind of strange also that staff is not present at night but there is a number to call in case of need. Would definitely stay again.

when we arrived the car park was full ( an event was on) so member of staff offered us their place - but when we went out to move the car there were spaces.
